To become dynamic Muslim healthcare professionals who pioneer social change through knowledge, wisdom and practice.

Our mission, written in 2006 and unchanged since

A hospital cannot come to the village. A doctor can.

Muslim Medical Mission began with a small group of Lahore doctors who kept meeting the same problem. The medicine existed, the expertise existed, and none of it was reaching the people who needed it most.

Nearly two decades later the answer has not changed. We load a team into a vehicle, drive to the district that has been waiting longest, and treat everyone who comes, free, until the medicine runs out. Then we work out how to come back sooner.

  • Wisdom

We go where the need is measured, not where the coverage is best. Every deployment starts with an assessment and ends with a count.

  • Action

Our teams are on the ground in the first week of an emergency, because relief that arrives after the cameras leave is not relief.

  • Service

Care is free at the point of delivery, without exception, and without asking a patient what they believe or who they voted for.

  • For Allah

The work is worship. That is the whole reason it continues in districts where no funder is watching and no reporter will visit.

The same teams, four thousand kilometres away

Our Gaza operation runs on the logic that keeps people alive when a health system has stopped functioning. Water before medicine, food before comfort, and a heavy quilt before the cold arrives rather than after it.
